Well done to Old Colwyn RSPCA and good luck

CAN it really be 10 years of dedicated work by the people who work at the Old Colwyn RSPCA shop?

I have been both customer and donated my unwanted things to both the Old Colwyn and the equally wonderful RSPCA shops in Station Road, Colwyn Bay, and the RSPCA shop in Craig-y-Don.

We all need to help the animals, now even more than ever.

Have you ever been to look at the dogs and cats awaiting new homes at the Bryn-y-Maen RSPCA centre, upper Colwyn Bay? I have.

My own two dogs Harpo and Groucho (you can guess I am a Marx Brothers fan) both very hearty cross-breeds, are rescue dogs. My companions. We are so fortunate in this area.

We have the RSPCA centre at Bryn-y-Maen, two RSPCA shops, at Old Colwyn and Colwyn Bay. They all have such friendly, helpful, animal-loving people working in these places.

Happy 10th birthday to the RSPCA shop, Old Colwyn, and those who work there. Keep up the good work. I ask people to be generous and give money and unwanted home goods to these wonderful shops.

The animals, as S Moss says in the letter telling us of the 10th anniversary, need our help. we who have pets, who know what great love they give us, and who know that cruelty, neglect, downright evil even, is inflicted on animals.

So may I wish all those who work at Old Colwyn, and also Colwyn Bay and Craig-y-Don RSPCA shops a very happy Christmas and prosperous new year.

Hilda Conny,

Colwyn Bay
