I WOULD like to alert your readers who may be having trouble with housing debt to a new service being offered by the Consumer Credit Counselling Service in Conwy.
Housing debt is an increasing problem in the current economic climate, sometimes made worse by Christmas financial pressures, and too often people turn to unscrupulous loan sharks.
In July the Consumer Credit Counselling Service launched a service for people struggling with housing debt, called The Housing Debt Helpline 0800 107 1340 is a free telephone service which offers in-depth counselling for people who are at risk of losing their homes.
I would urge anyone who thinks that they are at risk of losing their home to seek help as soon as possible, either through this service, their local Citizens Advice Bureau or Shelter Cymru.
