I SEE yet again the Council want to cut millions from the budget for services for Conwy over the next few years. The rates still go up and so does the allowances and expenses of our councillors.
Yet again we the taxpayers and ratepayers are made fools of. It is about time that councillors didn’t vote themselves big increases in pay.
I wonder how many of them were given travel expenses when they actually worked. I know I wasn’t. I had an uncle on the County council in the 1950s and 1960s. He did it because he wanted to help the community, not to try to get what he could out of it.
