I walked my dog from Llandudno Junction towards Deganwy along the new footpath and was pleasantly surprised to see that Conwy Council had created a viewpoint on the corner, overlooking Deganwy Marina and the Estuary.
All stylishly done and a great spot to stop and take in the view.
Unfortunately it’s already been ruined and looks like a rubbish dump in the middle of an inner city.
It’s covered in rubbish with countless beer bottles and cans and general waste and seems to have become yet another gathering point for the "poor disillusioned youth" of the area.
What’s wrong with these kids, and for gods sake what’s wrong with their parents? I’m guessing that there are no parents happy to stand up proudly and announce that "Yes, my kids contribute to that mess".
Are they complete morons? If they want to drink themselves stupid then at least if they kept the area tidy, they could go back time and again.
As it is, it’s likely that this "viewpoint" will be taken away eventually and allowed to become overgrown.
Why should the council bother maintaining it?
We will then hear these poor, underprivileged kids complaining "We’ve got nowhere to go and we’ve got nothing to do".
Enough money to get hammered on though luckily eh!
Do these kids throw bottles around their own gardens, or urinate in their own lounges? Maybe they do, and maybe some of their parents don’t care one way or another. It’s a shame!
It’s not as if a policeman could keep an eye on it, as they don’t get out of their cars for health and safety reasons because being a policeman can be awfully dangerous these days don’t you know.
