Election process at Llanrwst just wasn't good enough

I WRITE with regard to the recent Llanrwst elections. Conwy County inform me that there were two notices displayed to inform the public of the coming elections and that is all that is legally required.

All I can say is they must have been up for minutes as I often read the information on the boards and in the window.

As no cards were sent out. What about all those people who don’t read the information regularly? Or the people who are perhaps infirm and have lifts in and out of town to shop and can’t wander round and look in windows? What about young mums rushing between school, work, home etc who don’t have time to read notices in windows?

Surely the whole point of voting cards is to inform the local people that they can cast their vote on a certain day. Whether they have seen a candidate shouldn’t matter. Some people only make up their mind who to vote for when they get in the booth!
