There is not enough wind in North Wales to justify turbines

THE North Wales coast-line has, over the last decade, experienced the lowest average wind speeds ever recorded.

This is well below the speeds necessary for off-shore wind turbines to be operational, yet the government are now installing 100 additional turbines in the same area.

I know that someone threw an egg at wind turbine enthusiast John Prescott the last time he ventured here – but if we promise not to do it again he could, on behalf of the government, examine the evidence for himself.
