Lots of rumours fly around Llandudno

THE lady in the black knitted hat at the bus stop at West Shore Club says that Christmas will come early this year for the residents of Bridge Road, in the form of compensation for inconvenience and dust caused by demolition of the bridge.

Please tell me it is a true rumour!

If past rumours are anything to go by I won’t be booking any holidays just yet. The residents’ objection for the fields at the end of the road to be used by golfers in cars was rumoured to be rejected by the council, who went as far as to publish their findings to that effect.

However on a clear day no fewer than 100 cars whizz by with not the slightest by your leave, to do whatever golfers do in the field at the bottom of the road. Rumour has it a child will be involved in an accident if it continues.

I think Arriva should erect a rumour board in the bus shelter with coloured chalk, each colour denoting the strength of the rumour. Yellow, red and green come to mind.

Rumour has it a postal strike is very imminent, so I’d better get this letter off ASAP.
