WE are writing following your recent article concerning the leaking of information that the Council deemed as controversial.
Firstly we should like to say that we care not one iota who leaked the information. He or she did us a favour.
We are more concerned that an issue so controversial should be kept from us in the first instance the very idea that common land could be used without first consulting “the commoners” is insulting to say the least.
For too long councillors have told us not to believe everything we read in the papers and not to listen to all the rumours that abound with alarming regularity. However we are left wondering whom to trust and, what the ulterior motives of most councillors are.
We are well aware that many would delight in knocking down our houses on Greenfield and Lawson Road and feel strongly that those whom were elected by us to act for us, should be more open with us.
