EVERYONE rejoice. The first phase of the windfarm is on schedule.
What makes nPower Renewables project manager Gareth Penhale think for one moment that people accept his “sincere thanks” for putting up with the penetrating thumping of this company’s persistent spread of its wind termite disease along our tourist coastline?
He thinks we long-suffering residents have a “continual patience” as we watch the destruction of our tourist gateway to Snowdonia?
This beautiful natural setting should be declared a heritage area for North Wales and not be afflicted with 200 agents of this disease.
Who can we turn to with some foresight and common sense? There is a deafening silence from our pathetic Conwy County Council and nothing is mentioned on North Wales Tourist or Visit Wales AGM agendas.
The merits of these boring contraptions are not in question, it is where in a country like Wales do you allow them to be put. There are plenty of moors in the country, one not far from here, where they would be out of sight.
