THREE lifeboats were scrambled to the waters off Penmaenmawr on Sunday to rescue three people from a power boat that had caught fire. The sailors were picked up by a passing boat after a fire started just before noon in the cabin of the 36ft vessel. Fire officers are now assessing the boat. Lifeboats from Llandudno, Beaumaris and Conwy were used in the rescue.
