HOLYHEAD’S Ucheldre Centre has an exciting programme jam packed with events sure to please everyone in 2010.
For the next three months Ucheldre has organised events from concerts, art exhibitions, craft fairs, club meetings and films.
This month, the music programme starts on Saturday with Holyhead’s favourite entertainer Casey Jones and friends, including Laura Jane Roberts performing a fundraising concert for Huntingdon’s Disease.
February is the month for classical music as acclaimed pianist Iwan Llewelyn Jones returns to Holyhead on February 6.
He is followed on February 7, by classical Brit nominee Nicky Spence and pianist Andrew Mathews-Owen for a night with music from Bellini and Britten.
Chamber music takes place on February 14 and March 14 when Ensemble Cymru visits, and Anglesey’s musical youth will get its chance to showcase its skills with a concert on February 26.
The Ucheldre Craft Fair, which displays various locally made crafts, takes place from February 9 to March 7.
Digartref Ynys Môn hold their second exhibition of art work tutored by Holyhead artist Jacquie Myrtle from February 12 to 28 .and in March the fifth Anglesey Arts Forum exhibition will take place.
The varied film programme includes A Serious Man, Amelia, Glorious 39, Nowhere Boy, Harry Brown, Bright Star, Me and Orson Welles and Where the Wild Things Are.
