THE Best of British Variety Tour is back for its second year in 2009 after the huge success of last year’s inaugural tour and is on its way to Rhyl this month.
After popular demand, Cannon and Ball are back to headline alongside a brand new line-up of talent that is Tom O’Connor, Faith Brown, Bucks Fizz, Roger De Courcey and Norman Collier.
Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball are one of Britain’s funniest and most successful double acts ever. In a career spanning 44 years they have achieved a string of honours that make them among the all- time greats of showbusiness.
Tom O’Connor will be hosting this year’s tour, and is known for his own shows – Wednesday at Eight, Night Out at the London Casino, London Night Out and The Tom O’Connor Show.
Faith Brown is renowned as the first lady of impressions. Liverpudlian Faith’s music career started at 15 with her brothers in a group called The Carrolls which led to many TV appearances.
The most successful two boy/ two girl harmony group ever to emerge from the UK, Bucks Fizz, started when the band won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981.
