RECAPTURE the sounds and memories of a bygone era as the Nick Ross Orchestra present ‘an unmissable evening of music and song’ – the Classic Big Band Sound of the 1940s.
A special concert will take place on Sunday, August 23, at Pavilion Theatre in Rhyl.
A selection from the repertoires of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Ted Heath and Syd Lawrence will be featured and the concert would not be complete without reference to the songbooks of Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald.
The guest vocalists for the evening will be Matt Ford and Alice Coulam.
Matt is from the same mould as the classic singers – Matt Monro, Tony Bennett and the Frank Sinatra – he has formidable natural talent in front of a live audience and has gained a large and loyal following throughout the UK during his five years as vocalist with the renowned Syd Lawrence Orchestra.
Alice is a stunning new talent on the Big Band scene not to be missed.
Sounds of the Glenn Miller Era appears at the Pavilion Theatre, Rhyl, on Sunday, August 23, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £15, concessions £1 off. Call the Box Office on 01745 330000 or book online at rhylpavilion.co.uk
