New 3D screen at Cineworld Llandudno

CINEMA-GOERS will be able to enjoy a "first of its kind" 3D experience in Llandudno Junction next month.

Cineworld in Llandudno Junction has launched a 3D screen in the deluxe area of the cinema. It is the first ever 3D cinema screen to come to North Wales and will launch with screenings of the acclaimed new Disney film Bolt 3D! on February 6.

Bolt, an American White Shepherd, has lived his whole life on the set of his action TV show, where he believes he has super powers. When separated from the studio by accident, he meets a female alley cat named Mittens and a hamster named Rhino. Along the way, he learns he doesn’t have super powers and that the show is not real.

This becomes something of a hindrance when he is accidentally shipped from Hollywood to New York City. From there he has to make his way home with the help of his new friends.

Cinema audiences will be provided with advanced technology 3D glasses which will offer a premium 3D visual experience. The deluxe screening room at Cineworld will also offer customers a fantastic bar and luxury seats to relax in.

Cineworld will host a variety of film screenings throughout the year on the 3D screen including Monsters vs Aliens, Toy Story, Ice Age and the eagerly awaited new James Cameron film Avatar, released at the end of 2009.

Cineworld general manager Paul Williams commented: "We are very excited to bring such new and innovative cinema to North Wales. It offers our customers the chance to see some brilliant films in 3D quality and it is a fantastic way to kick off our programming for 2009."
