CORNISH comedian Jethro will soon be back in Rhyl with more of his mischievous repertoire of adult material.
With his very own uniquely irreverent style of delivery, Jethro has got to be one of the cheekiest comedians around.
Audiences never know what tales he will come out with but one thing is for sure, the best ones will involve his now renowned friends Denzel Penberthy, Slipalong Trevaskis and Bill Pedureare.
With his last DVD release Live In Cuckoo Land selling just under 250,000 copies in its first two months of release, it is no surprise that the Cornishman performs to packed houses at around 120 of the country’s biggest theatres every year.
Jethro, who has worked in the Cornish tin mines and is a carpenter by trade, started out his entertainment career as a singer in his local pub.
He can also be found performing at his own variety club in the Devonshire village of Lewdown.
This is where on his days off from touring he is busy dealing with his other business concerns – a CD duplicating factory, an agricultural plant company, and a pub and restaurant.
Not to forget his greatest hobby, horses. A stock of about 70 top brood mares and Wembley winners are a sure example of his passion and expertise.
Although one of the busiest and most popular character comics this country has ever known, there are still many people around the country who have never seen or heard of him.
This anonymity is due to Jethro keeping himself away from television and radio appearances. He relies on the public to be his promoter.
His theory is that if audiences have really enjoyed themselves at the show, they will in turn tell all their friends to go to the show next time and so on.
Jethro will be appearing at the Pavilion Theatre, Rhyl, on Wednesday, November 19, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £18 with no concessions. To book, call the Box Office on 01745 330000 or book online at www.rhylpavilion.co.uk
