NORTH Wales County Music Festival arrives in Llandudno next month for a weekend of knee-slapping fun.
The 14th annual festival will takes place between Friday, September 5, and Sunday, September 7, at Venue Cymru.
As part of the line up for the 2008 festival is legendary guitarist Albert Lee with his band, Hogan’s Heroes. English-born Albert now lives in the States where he regularly tours with the Everly Brothers.
Also making the trip from the US is Texas singer/songwriter Kimmie Rhodes who has written for and sung with such greats as Willie Nelson and Emmylou Harris.
Broadcaster, Nick Barraclough’s band of musicians, The Burglars, who mix traditional bluegrass with more contemporary acoustic music are also pencilled in as are Brian Hughes and the Lone Sharks, Kalibre, The Fabulous Picasso Brothers and The Haleys, following the success of last year’s acoustic set.
Completing the line-up at the venue is North Wales performer Alistair James.
As well as the theatre shows in the evening there is an all-day line-dancing session on Saturday afternoon as well as an easy-listening afternoon session in the Ocean Lounge over the three days.
