FAMILIES looking to celebrate Easter in a more traditional style should look no further than their local National Trust property.
This year, Aberconwy House in Conwy and Bodnant Garden in the Conwy Valley will be hosting a variety of Easter-themed activities including its annual Easter trail supported by Cadbury.
Cadbury will be giving an Easter egg to every child who completes the trail and is also organising a range of extra family fun activities for visitors to take part in, including face painting, children’s entertainment and an Easter-themed play area.
Egg hunters will follow a map around the National Trust site visiting points and collecting clues. On their return, they will receive a free Cadbury Easter egg.
Cadbury’s support of the Easter trail is part of the company’s Purple Goes Green initiative, a programme to reduce its impact on the environment. The Cadbury Easter eggs are unboxed so use 70% less packaging than the equivalent-sized egg, creating less waste.
The confectionery company is contributing £150,000 to the National Trust Ancient Trees and Woodland conservation programme as part of the Easter activity and its commitment to the environment.
