TV NATURALIST watcher Iolo Williams has joined a host of celebrities helping to raise awareness of back pain in Wales.
Welsh Backs, a health campaign developed in response to Health Challenge Wales, aims to help raise awareness of back pain and help sufferers by providing a one-stop shop for advice. Staying active is key in alleviating back pain and the main message is to carry on as normal.
Among the celebrities joining Iolo are Joanna Page, Gabby Logan, Bonnie Tyler, Sian Lloyd, Jonathan Pryce and Roy Noble who are all highlighting the message of keeping active to help speed recovery.
"I have been a sufferer of back pain in the past and know how painful it can be. I suffered as young as 15 years old. Nevertheless I am a strong believer that keeping active is a good alleviator of the problem and that far too many people believe that being inactive solves the problem when it can actually make matters worse.
"I fully support the Welsh Backs campaign as it is trying to raise awareness of a problem that affects a large proportion of the Welsh population and is showing that keeping active is the best thing for sufferers to do," said Iolo.
