THERE were big wins for local sides Deganwy and Colwyn Bay RBL in the latest round of matches in the North Wales Coast Bowls League Section A.
Deganwy whipped bottom club Bangor City 13-1 and are now joint third with Colwyn Bay, who hammered Llanfairpwll 12-2 at home.
Llanrwst A enjoyed a 10-4 success against Penmaenmawr A, while Arthur Ollerton carded 21-2 as Rhos Park A sank St Asaph A 9-5, brothers Matthew and Gareth Foster both notching 21-10 wins for Saints.
Fron Park now head Section B after their 12-2 win over Bethesda lifts them above Rhos Park B who fell 8-6 at third-placed Min-y-Don Park where Mac McAllister won 21-11, Ian Lawley 21-8 the pick for Rhos.
Abergele stretched their 100 per cent record to eight wins in Section C with a 10-4 success at Beaumaris B.

BOBBY Newall and Geraint Jones both carded 21-14 wins as Deganwy Roofing came away 7-3 victors at Llanrwst in the Blackwell Hydraulics Welsh Counties League last Tuesday, Steve Jones 21-10 replying in a narrow 145-147 finish.
Other Deganwy winners were: Darren Williams 21-16, Carl Lewis 21-18 and Peter Jones 21-20, while the two other successes for the Rwsters were Steve Parry 21-14 and Mark Parry 21-17.
Defending champions Gresford kept their foot in the door with a 7-3 win at St Asaph for a 138-156 aggregate. Lewis Scott 21-14, Phil Nash 21-18 and Scott Parry 21-19 were Saints’ pick.
Diane Slater 21-7 and Steve Barron 21-8 earned Colwyn Bay RBL a 5-5 draw against Llay in a tight 140-138 aggregate, Craig Richardson 21-18 also a home winner.
Rhos Park rocked visitors Cunliffe with a 9-1 blast in a 160-112 split, Steve Lawley 21-9 pointing the way.
Other Rhos players to record a win were Ivor Jones 21-11, Roger Wilson and Mark Whiteley, both 21-13, Michael Whalley 21-14, Glyn Jones 21-15 and Andy Bray 21-16.
