Boxing: Mixed feelings for Dyffyn ABC fighters

TWO members of Dyffryn ABC had contrasting fortunes on their season’s return at Shotton at the weekend.

Jarod Jones lost an extremely tight majority decision to Jay Wilkes of Shotton, the Dyffryn boxer performing very well against a strong opponent and looked to have done enough to win.

Lee Quinn boxed well within himself to win a comfortable, but majority verdict.

Both Dyffryn lads were Welsh Championship finalists last season.

This Saturday (October 24) 10 Dyffryn boxers will feature in the club’s home tournament at Llandudno Junction Labour Club.

Tickets have already sold out for what promises to be an exciting evening of boxing.
