Bowls: Deganwy and Llanrwst meet in cup final
THE final of the Welsh Counties Bowling League’s Knockout Cup will between Deganwy Jones Roofing and Llanrwst.
In last week’s semi-finals, Deganwy beat Rhos Park by 20 points at LlanfairPG and Llanrwst defeated Beaumaris in a very close match by just eight points at Colwyn Bay British Legion.
Despite the closeness of the score, Beaumaris had only two winners (John Short 21-18 and Barry Harris 21-10), while John Bailey won 21-12 and Anthony Bailey 21-14 for Llanrwst .
Top winner for Deganwy against Rhos Park was Dave Roberts, who beat Colin Evans 21- 7, while Darren Williams and Daniel Jones both won 21-12.
For Rhos Park, Glyn Jones beat Barry Phillips 21-8 and Craig Richardson had a 21-9 win over Peter Jones.
