Golf: Amy makes Wales golf history

NEWLY  crowned Welsh girls golf champion Amy Boulden of the Llandudno(Maesdu) Golf Club,  has been named in the Welsh Ladies team  for the Home internationals at Wrexham next month at  the age 14.

The Ysgol John Bright schoolgirl  who is this week playing for Wales in the Girls internationals in Scotland, is one of the youngest  players ever  selected for  the Wales’ senior ladies squad.

 It has capped phenomenal year  for the daughter of Maesdu club professional Simon Boulden. She also played  for Wales in the European Girls Team Championships last month and  won the Welsh Girls title for the first time with victory in the final at  Pennard last week.

 ABERGELE golfer Adam Runcie has won a place in the Wales team for the Home internationals at Muirfield in Scotland next month after reaching the semi-finals of the Welsh Amateur Championship at Royal Porthcawl last week.
