PENMAENMAWR picked up their first win since bonfire night in the Gap-Personnel Thursday Snooker League with a 4-2 success at home to Crosville B.
Mike Wilson posted breaks of 34 and 32 to overcome Mike James in the opener.
Lee Booth got back to winning ways, a nice 28 break to win against Darryl Jones and Dylan Rowlands and Paul R Hughes ensured the three points. Crosville’s Anthony Moore was on top form to beat Gethin Roberts and Chris Lloyd saw off Alan Jones 53-11.
Legion A took the honours 4-2 against their B team.
Nigel Breese got the victors off to a convincing start and will see his handicap tumble as a result of beating George Bartlett, but the match between Dave Parrish and Derek Eccleston was a comedy of errors before Parrish won on a gifted black.
Mike Clarke made it 3-0 against Dave Jones but Tom Sykes pulled a frame back against Peter Duckett and Terry Lea had the comeback of the night in beating Sean Bowler on the black.
But Legion A skipper Mark Davies is on a roll at the moment and won his frame comfortably against an out of sorts Tim Williams.
Llan Cons A moved above Cricket Club B with a 4-2 home win, inflicting a third successive defeat on the visitors.
Phil Hughes converted some very good long pots in breaks of 19 and 27 and won easily against Tony Kearney and John Hancock stopped Wayne Noble’s excellent run of 14 straight wins. Rosie Williams was on form and knocked in a quality 50 break against Gwyn Morgans.
Luke O'Mahoney was cueing well for the batsmen and won on the colours against a very resilient Paul Thomas but Ian Fitton and Dave Philips ensured the victory.
Cricket A consolidated their grip at the top, although only drawing with Llan Cons B.
Martin Richardson and Ross Jones put the batsmen two-up before Alan Davidson and John Fangio Jones pulled it level. Dyfrig Thomas was the man of the match playing very well after being 40 down to come back to win on the black against Mike Noden.
But the draw was gained by Richard King who beat Loz Evans on the colours. This week leaders Cricket A have their open date knowing nobody can dislodge them and they will then have a game in hand on their rivals.

Llandudno Legion pulled off a shock 3-2 win at Crosville in the latest round of matches in the Conwy and District Snooker League.
The opening two frames were shared with the reliable Chris Black winning again and Pete McGibbin easing past Mark Parry. Martin Richardson then thrashed in-form Dave Evans, Gaz Evans had a 33 break in beating Dyfrig Thomas and captain Phil Kearney potted the last five colours tobeat opposing captain Eddy Scott.
Junction Labour Club are on a good run of form and after an excellent win over Crosville in the team pairs semi-final on Tuesday, maintained their run with a 5-0 demolition of Conwy Golf.
Tom O’Donnell and Pat Boylan put them two up, Paul Jones continued his good run with another fine win, Dave Ebbrell made a 31 break in his victory and captain Andy Wilson wrapped up the whitewash.
Malt Loaf’s 5-0 success against Llanddulas Legion was a lot closer than the scoreline suggests, three frames being decided on the black.
Scott Todd put the home side ahead against Tom Owen and Ken Charnley extended the lead but Adam Chance and Terry Lea edged black ball games against Roy Jarvis and Dave Davies, before Ian Hughes completed the whitewash against Tony Cannon.
Penmaenmawr overwhelmed Mochdre B 5-0 with victories for Richard Jones, Dion Jones, Pat Moore, Rob Williams and Chris Truscott.
The Pen youngsters are really improving as the season goes on and are gaining in confidence with the results they are getting against some of the better teams.
