LLANGEFNI 35 LLANDUDNO 8
WRU NORTH DIVISION ONE
VISITORS Llandudno yet again struggled to put together a first team squad due to injuries and missing key players, particularly front-row and second-row personnel.
Without these specialist positions being filled Tudno are unable to provide their backs with ball from set scrums and lineouts.
Llangefni are having an up and down season, but had too strong a forward platform for Tudno, which allowed their backs to have plenty of try scoring opportunities.
Captain and full-back Arwel Roberts crossed twice for Cefni, flanker Declan Griffiths, wing Tom Williams and centre Dylan Jones also registering tries.
Roberts also landed two penalties and two conversions for a personal match tally of 20 points.
Llandudno replied with a penalty from skipper Rhodri Carlton Jones in the first period and recorded the try of the afternoon in the second stanza from wing James Gregson, who finished off a sweeping move which started in the visiting half.
The result leaves Tudno, who have just two wins on their log, third bottom and eight points adrift of nearest club Llangefni.
Tudno now have a long spell without any fixtures due to the Autumn internationals.
Club chairman Howie Roberts stated this break will allow the first team squad situation to be reviewed, with hopefully all key players coming back from injuries for the next league fixture at Mold on December 5.
