Equestrian: Good turnout for Llandudno club event

LLANDUDNO Riders Club and Llysfaen Area of the Flint and Denbigh Pony Club enjoyed another successful bi-annual cross-country event at Plas Ucha, Glan Conwy, recently.

The newly rebuilt course of 22 jumps designed by Tim Bennett, a British eventing course builder, attracted competitors from the Llyn Peninsular across to Cheshire.

A specially designed course of 12 mini eventing jumps for the younger children on or just off lead was a great success with local pony clubs and riding schools.

All ages and abilities competed in the six classes across ditches, water, corners and challenging fences.

Results - Minimus Pairs:1 Ffion and Joan Roberts riding Froshy and Lindi's Loss; Minimus Individuals: 1 Georgina Cabb riding Sparkey; Intermediate Pairs: 1 Charlotte Rowlands and Anna Haycock riding Rosie and Kyna; Intermediate Individuals: 1 Lois Jones riding Mari; Open Pairs: 1 Sam Burchell and Charlotte Jones riding April and Jam; Open Individual: 1 Joslyn Fedrick riding Wesley.
