THREE goals in a dramatic last five minutes earned Penmaenmawr Phoenix a 3-1 victory at Connah’s Quay Tigers in the Mackenzie Jones Clwyd League President’s Cup first round.
Tigers had led from the 11th minute through Jake Wynne, but Peter Williams hit back for Pen on 85 and 86 before Chris Owen made sure of the win with a third a minute later.
Abergele Rovers whipped Y Glannau 7-2, Andy Thomas (2), Thomas Galvin (2), James Davies, Ryan Woods and Sion Morris sharing the goals.
Betws-yn-Rhos were hammered 5-0 at Point of Ayr, but St Asaph enjoyed a 4-1 success at Rhos United.

Division Two action saw Llanrwst United Reserves crash 4-1 at leaders Rhuddlan Town Reserves, Iwan Thomas converting a penalty for the Rwsters. Andy Evans scored twice in Abergele Rovers Reserves’ 2-1 triumph at Flint Thirds.
