BROTHERS Anthony and John Bailey from Llanrwst became the David Hughes Memorial Cup bowls champions at Llandudno Oval on Sunday.
From a strong field, the pair overcame Darren Williams and Peter Jones of Deganwy in the final 21-14 after a great day’s bowling.

RHOS Park started their defence of the Prestatyn-based Roving Jack League by beating last year’s runners- up Hotpoint 7-0.
Nomads and Allsorts also won 7-0 against Rebels and Mojos respectively whilst Harlequins defeated Craig-y-Don 6-1 and WDP overcame Medals 4-3.
It has been a fantastic season for two local teams in their respective senior leagues.
Conwy finished top of Division C of the Gwynedd Seniors Bowling League having won all 14 of their matches.
Such an impressive 100% record meant Conwy won the title by 34 points from nearest challengers Llanfair PG.
Meanwhile, Mochdre Park B celebrated success at the double in the Clwydian Senior Citizens League.
They topped the Division D table after compiling outstanding statistics of 21 wins in 24 matches, finishing on 203 points – 13 ahead of second-placed Rhyl B.
And Mochdre were not finished there as they also won the Division D Cup, outscoring Bryn Newydd B 6-5 (182-140) in the final at St Asaph, having dispatched Denbigh B and East Parade B in the earlier rounds.
