Sailing: McNamara and Corfield on the crest of a wave at Llandudno

ANDY McNamara and Phil Corfield sailed their GP14 to victory in Llandudno Sailing Club’s Norman Brierley Trophy event.

The three-race trophy was competed for on a Sunday, the initial breeze dying and then changing direction through 180 degrees halfway through the second race.

Tim and Tabitha Croucher in their Laser 2000 won the first race, narrowly beating McNamara and Corfield, but wins by the latter pairing in the second and third races gave them the trophy.
