ST ASAPH took over at the top of the North Wales League Division One table after a maximum points victory at home over Brymbo seconds.
The 30-point haul sees the Saints move level on 167 points with Llay Welfare, who could only manage seven points after defeat at Northop.
Saints opted to bat first and overseas Aussie pro Richard Partington made the decision a correct one as he top scored with an unbeaten 60.
Openers Chris Campbell and Joe Lunn had got the home side off to a stunning start as they put on 80 for the first wicket, Lunn falling for 45.
Campbell went for 50 as the with the score on 108-2, bringing Partington to the crease. Joe Clayton departed for 16 and it was an unbeaten knock of 32 from number seven David North that helped the Saints declare on 227-5 in 42 overs.
North then showed his skills with the ball as well to take 5-19 off 9.5 overs as Brymbo were all out for 119 in 44 overs to hand Saints the maximum points, with Matthew Hulse claiming 3-20.
ABERGELE slipped to a four wicket defeat at home to Bangor seconds in Division Two.
The home side were all out for 133 in 44.2 overs after good knocks from Graham Price (36), David Moulson (33), Selwyn Morris (19) and Neil Roberts (16).
However, a middle order fight back saw the visitors reach 134-6 in 37.4 overs to claim the win. Bangor looked to be struggling at 90-6 but unbeaten knocks from Mohsan Anwar (19) and Ian Morgan (22) saw them home.
Morris was the pick of the Gele bowlers with 2-15, while Owen Lynam took 2-27.
ABERGELE SECONDS endured similar fortunes in Division Four as they went down to a 24-run defeat at Mold seconds.
Mold chalked up 193-6 in their 45 overs as Rick Ashby took 3-42.
Gele opener David Hockridge put on 53 and there were also knocks from wicket-keeper Steve Copeland (23), Charles Gibson-Jones (20), Ashby (17) and Andrew Poole (14), but the visitors ended six down on 169.
