Busy couple of weeks for Bay anglers

ITS been a busy couple of weeks for the anglers of all Colwyn Bay Victoria sea angling clubs sections.

The shore section have held the third and fourth legs of their Summer league, with Gary McLeod winning the third leg at North Shore with eight dogfish and three whiting, and Terry Jones taking top spot in the fourth leg of the competition.

This match was a Dee estuary rover, and Terry opted to fish at Talacre where he caught 25 dabs and a flounder.

The junior section had their first Summer League match at Rhyl, with Elliot Roberts taking the honours with four flounders for 143cms. Thomas Jones was second with one flounder of 38cms.

Finally, the boat section held their first league match in the Menai Straits, where last year’s champions Basshunter won the match with eight species.

They fished their second match from Colwyn Bay, where Rosea had the winning bag of 10 species.

The club will be holding their annual presentation night at the clubhouse on Saturday, June 20, starting at 8pm.
