Bay thirds seal victory

IT was the Williams-Gray show at Penrhyn Avenue on Sunday when Colwyn Bay thirds notched up their first win of the season against Fleetwood Hesketh.
After being asked to bat by the visitors the Bay put on an impressive 251-3 off 37 overs, thanks mainly to a magnificent 128 from 16-year-old Ed Williams-Gray, and support from James Jones (25), Mike McDonagh (54no) and Tom Roberts (12no).
Fleetwood started their response well, but were all out for 145 to hand Bay the win.
Joe Williams-Gray took three wickets, while James Jones and Arthur Jones each took two and Ed Williams-Gray chipped in with one.
The thirds are at home next Sunday, against Highfield.
