Football: Conwy United youngsters triumph

CONWY United Under-11's football team swept to a convincing victory in the recent Bob Lloyd Tournament held at Llanfairfechan.

The team conceded only one goal on their way to a thrilling final, which saw them secure the trophy with a 1-0 victory over Llysfaen Wildcats, the winning goal scored by Sean McIlvogue.

Player of the Tournament went to Louis Scholes Jones.

The team, sponsored by Langleys Spa, managed and coached by Tommy Creamer and Scott Hobson, are hoping to build upon their recent success when they compete in the forthcoming Under-11s League final.

Mochdre Jaguars U13 girls (pictured right) have had an impressive season, winning the Llanrug Tournament, the Bob Lloyd Friendly Cup, the national SCI tournament and the North Wales Girls League finals and are currently in contention for the North Wales Girls League title.

The girls, who are sponsored by North Wales Jaguar and managed by Rosanna Mitchell and coached by Josh Latchford and Ryan Holland, are currently looking for new players for the new season.
