CARNEDDAU Triathlon’s Rhian Roxburgh was first woman home in the Harlech Sprint Triathlon for the fifth year running on Sunday, completing the course in 1hr 22m 25s, a time that saw her finish 10th overall in a field of more than 350 competitors.
Carneddau’s 27-strong contingent took a sweep of awards, including age group prize wins for Adrian Leonard (M20-29) and Valerie Edwards (W50-59).
Vicky Ronald was third in W40-49, Vince Edwards, Simon Roxburgh and Matt Ashton coming fourth, fifth and sixth respectively in M30-39. Russell Godwin was sixth in M40-49.
Overall race winner was Chris Clarke of F2K Health and Fitness in a time of 1–14:52.
Last Sunday the club held a Training Duathlon, (3.2 mile run, 12.3 mile bike, 3.2 mile run). Results: run/bike/run/overall time.
