Football: Home start for Llandudno FC

LLANDUDNO will open their new campaign in the Huws Gray Cymru Alliance with two home games.

They are scheduled to play Ruthin Town in their opening league game on Saturday August 16 and then entertain Flint Town United on Tuesday, August 19 (7.30pm).

The club open their pre-season programme with a game against Welsh Premier Porthmadog at Maesdu Park on Saturday, July 19 (2.30pm).

Other friendly games arranged are away to Colwyn Bay on Tuesday, July 29, at home to Manchester side Hollinwood on Saturday, August 2, and newly promoted Unibond Division One side Trafford on Saturday August 9.

They also have a game at Llandudno Junction on Wednesday, August 6 and are currently in negotiations with Oldham Athletic for the Coca Cola League One club to send a team to Maesdu Park on Saturday July 26.

Former Llandudno player and current Welsh international Neal Eardley was first team captain at Oldham in the absence of Sean Gregan last season.
