RUTHIN 15 LLANDUDNO 24
RHODRI CARLTON JONES scored the match-winning try for Llandudno who completed the double over Ruthin on Saturday.
This WRU Division One North game at Cae Ddol was marred by many handling mistakes from both sides.
In the first half, Huw Parry scored a try for Ruthin, Will Davies adding a penalty and conversion, but Tudno led 14-10 at the break courtesy of two great tries from wing James Gregson, both converted by Tom Hocknell.
Ruthin took the lead early in the second stanza through a Chris Lewis try, but Tudno then began to dominate proceedings, particularly the set pieces with a very strong front-row of Mike Hughes, Nick Irlam and Craig Salisbury.
Hocknell kicked a penalty to push the visitors in front, then RGC 1404 No8 Kelvin Davies made a telling break deep into the hosts’ half.
Davies’ North Wales partner Carlton Jones was in support to score the match-clinching try, touching down under the posts. Man of the Match was Dave Davies Jnr.
