LLANDUDNO suffered a devastating home defeat, conceding nine tries to a Pwllheli team that are moving up the Division One North League Table as they went down 60-6.
Tudno failed to make use of a strong wind in the first half, only managing to convert two penalties from Rhodri Carlton Jones throughout the whole of the match.
It was evident from the start that the visitors were a well organised side and put together a display of handling moves with players always in support to take a pass.
Llandudno this season have a big problem with a first team squad, particularly in the front five were they are lacking in prop and second-rows.
They managed to hold the visitors to a half time lead of 10-3, but during this first half lost No8 Kelvin Davies, who received two yellow cards, and from this point on they were out of the match.
Pwllheli ran amok in the second half, crossing the home try line at regular intervals, resulting in this very heavy home defeat.
And it doesn’t get any easier for Tudno, who travel to last season’s third placed side Caernarfon, who will be stinging following their first defeat of the season on Saturday at Nant Conwy.
