COLWYN BAY travel to Dolgellau for a re-arranged league game this Saturday, hoping to complete a double over the bottom-of-the-table side after an 11-0 win at Brookfield Drive last weekend.
A fierce wind blowing across the pitch made conditions almost impossible, with much of the game being fought out between the 22 metre lines.
But Colwyn Bay got the only try of the game in the first five minutes when good forward pressure and driving mauls set up the chance for number eight Aled Zachery to force his way over, and the Bay never looked in danger of losing after that.
Chances were few and far between in the conditions, but Ashley James did very well to kick two well judged penalties in the wind, and also kicked well form his hands.
Colwyn Bay are also delighted to have centre Adam Hughes back after a break of three or four years, and he did well when he come on as a second half replacement.
Victory at Dolgellau on Saturday could lift Colwyn Bay out of the bottom five and 14 points clear of the bottom three.
