NANT CONWY’S young guns continue to rule the roost at the top of the WRU’s Division One North after another bonus point 26-3 victory over top of the table rivals Ruthin last weekend.
They have now taken bonus points in wins against Llangefni, Mold and Ruthin in their last three games.
"To come out of those fixtures with a maximum 15 points is tremendous and the youngsters in the side have really made progress on the back of the experience they gained when introduced last season," said chairman Humphrey Hughes.
One of the biggest successes is teenage stand off Osian Williams who has been outstanding and is keeping former Welsh Districts international Peredur Ellis out of the side at the moment.
With six wins out of six, Nant have opened a four point lead at the top of the table going into this Saturday’s home game against Llanidloes, who gained their first win of the campaign with a 13-12 win over Bala last weekend.
Last Saturday’s win was highlighted by two super tries by Carwyn Ellis and Carwyn Ap Merddin, who both went in under the posts after some great passing play along the backs.
Carwyn also got a second try and Nant secured their bonus point when they were awarded a penalty try for Ruthin collapsing the scrum near their line.
Carwyn Ap Merddyn also kicked three conversions.
Caernarfon, who have a game in hand, are in second place with five wins out of five and look the main threat at the moment – with the two sides scheduled to meet at Trefriw on December 6.
