LLANDUDNO JUNC 2 BARMOUTH 1
GOALS from Darren Cassidy and Tom Patel earned Junction a vital three points at the expense of fellow Welsh Alliance Division One strugglers Barmouth.
Bermo started well, Gareth Roberts hitting the post before the visitors earned a penalty when Darrel Jones pulled down Paul Lewis.
Bobby Griffiths took the spot-kick but Railwaymen keeper Liam Ewing produced a fine stop, diving to his right, and then pulled off a fantastic one-handed save from the rebound.
Junction began to settle, Cassidy heading over from a Jamie Hobson cross, Joey Jennings shooting inches wide and Patel nodding against the post from a Glyn Lewis corner.
And only a great stop from visiting keeper Darren Andrews denied Jack Higgins the opener before the interval.
After the break Junction were much more potent and Cassidy was again denied by Andrews before on 53 minutes he rounded the keeper and made it 1-0.
Andrews thwarted a Jennings effort from eight yards, but against the run of play Bermo equalised on 62 minutes when Lewis struck a low drive into the bottom corner.
An unmarked Higgins looked certain to score from a Patel cross when his sidefooted volley from three yards was bound for the top corner, but Andrews concocted an amazing one- handed tip over.
However, on 72 minutes the ball fell kindly for Patel from a corner and he turned and fired in the winner.
KANE WILLIAMS’ 89th minute goal earned Llanrwst United a 1-0 win at Llanberis and condemned the Darans to relegation from Welsh Alliance Division One.
Late goals also settled the issue at Cae Ffwt where Robert Jones and Caron Williams both netted in the last six minutes to earn Nefyn United a 2-1 verdict over Glan Conwy, who had led from the ninth minute through James Williams.
In Division Two, Penmaenmawr Phoenix dished out a 6-1 caning to bottom side Gaerwen, Shane Jones grabbing a hat-trick, Peter Williams, Daniel Williams and Glen Simpson the rest and all this after Gethin Davies had given the visitors a sixth minute lead.
