Football: Abergele Rovers FC apply for promotion

ABERGELE Rovers have applied for promotion to the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance next season, reports the league’s website.

Rovers won the Clwyd League treble in 2009/10, but were denied their place at a higher level this term over a ground issue.

Gele look odds on to retain their Premier Division crown this term and will be hoping for better luck on this occasion in their quest to progress.

Other clubs that have so far applied for promotion are St Asaph and Rhuddlan Town from the Clwyd League and Bethel from the Gwynedd League.
