LLANDUDNO are delighted that top scorer Chris Boulton has committed himself to the club after Welsh Premier League club NEWI Cefn Druids put in seven days for him last week.
Boulton, who joined Llandudno from Mynydd Isa last summer, opted to stay at Maesdu Park and showed his worth by scoring a hat-trick in Llandudno's 3-1 win at Llandyrnog United last weekend to take his season's tally to 12.
Jason Sadler and Arron Pritchard have also turned down approaches from other clubs and joint manager Grant Montgomery said: "It is an indication of the spirit in the dressing room that players of that quality want to stay and be a part of things here."
Caerwyn Roberts, however, is set to leave the club to join Glantraeth following Luke O'Mahoney signing from Colwyn Bay.
Llandyrnog, despite being bottom of the table without a win in the league, put up a brave fight last Saturday and led 1-0 at half-time with a goal from Sion Roberts who scored from a tight angle after 28 minutes.
But Llandudno dominated the second half kicking down the slope, after changing things around a bit at the interval and bringing on Gaz Evans in midfield for the injured Joe Morgan.
O'Mahoney was always a threat down the left and played a part in Llandudno's opening two goals.
Boulton headed the equaliser from O’Mahoney’s free kick into the box and then Boulton back-heeled his side into the lead from O'Mahoney's cross before completing his treble with the third.
