Football: Llandudno FC face Prestatyn in Coast FA Cup

LLANDUDNO have been drawn away to Welsh Premier Prestatyn Town in a tough start to their defence of the North Wales Coast FA Challenge Cup they won in May.

The second round ties have to be played by February 14.

Other ties are: Holyhead Hotspur v Llandyrnog, Halkyn Utd v Rhyl, Denbigh Tn v Llanllyfni, Holywell Tn v Amlwch, Flint Tn Utd v Gap Connah’s Quay, Llangefni or Rhydymwyn v Bangor City, Glan Conwy v Pwllheli.

Llandudno are in league action at Llandyrnog this Saturday with an injury doubt over in-form central defender Wyn Williams.

He had to be substituted after 25 minutes of last weekend's windswept 0-0 draw with Llangefni Town with a muscle injury, but Llandudno do have a ready made replacement with the return of Neil Coverley to the club.

Last Saturday’s game was wrecked by the gale-force wind which made football almost impossible.

Llangefni keeper Paul Whitfield made a fine save from Joe Morgan and the home side might have scored in a couple of goalmouth scrambles.

New signing Luke O'Mahoney had a good game on his league home debut.
