LLANDUDNO cruised into the semi-finals of the North Wales section of the Twenty20 Cockspur Cup with a 10-wicket thrashing of Brymbo on Sunday.
The day’s cricket at The Oval was marred by the news Pontblyddyn were unable to raise a side to fulfil the three-cornered fight and conceded their matches.
Brymbo won the toss and elected to bat but could only manage 103-9 off their 20 overs, James Claybrook their top contributor with 32.
For Tudno, Ajay Dhawan scooped 3-12 off four, Jordan Kane 2-9 and Duncan Midgley 2-33, including the dangerous David Lloyd.
Llandudno reached 107 without loss in the 16th over, Owen Jones slamming 62 not out, including 10 fours and a mighty six to bring up his half-ton in 40 balls. Aled Williams ended on 37 not out.
Tudno now look forward to the next NWCL semi-final round on June 27.
