MOCHDRE completed an outstanding season in the North Wales League Premier Division by clinching second place with a 74-run victory over Llanrwst – but the result sadly condemned the Rwsters to relegation.
Laurance Watson was the Mochdre hero, blasting 133 not out in his side’s innings of 248 for seven declared, Phil Dickson adding 39 and Gareth Davies 30.
For the visitors, Tarique Khan notched three for 61 and Rohan Wight two for 55.
Wight starred for the Rwsters with a knock of 76, but the team could only muster 174, Russ Boswell three for 30 for Mochdre in a 30-5 verdict.
