CRICKET fans at Colwyn Bay were treated to a thrilling finish as Glamorgan's Mark Wallace smashed 48 not out off 17 balls to give the Dragons victory over Leicestershire Foxes with one ball to spare in a sensational NatWest Pro40 game on Sunday.

South African Jacques du Toit had earlier scored 144, with his century coming off 119 balls, as the Foxes piled up a score of 291 for 5 in their 40 overs. Dillon du Preez finished 49 not out off 23 balls with six sixes in a 97-run fifth wicket stand with du Toit.

Michael Powell then replied with 81 as Glamorgan gave chase, but with 64 needed off the final five overs, it was Wallace who won the day with four sixes and five fours, including a four and two consecutive sixes in the final over to win the game at 292 for 6.
