AN EX-SERVICEMAN was outraged that the Union flag outside Llandudno’s British Legion Club has been flying upside down.
The ex-RAF man, who asked not to be named, was upset when he saw the flag being displayed incorrectly.
“Any member of the armed forces would consider the flying of the Union flag upside down to be an affront to both sovereign and country.
“For an establishment such as the British Legion to do such a thing is inexcusable,” he complained.
But Al Baker, chairman of Llandudno RBL, said the affront wasn’t intentional.
“A member was asked to put the flag up for Remembrance Sunday and unfortunately put it up upside down. It has now been taken down,” he said.
