Colwyn Bay parade kicks off Christmas

COLWYN Bay was lit up by a festive parade last week as part of the Christmas celebrations.

Children from Ysgolion Glan-y-Mor, Pendorlan and Hen Golwyn took part in the event which was organised by the Chamber of Trade and town management.

The parade, which featured real reindeer, hawks and a whole host of fancy dress costumes, marched from St John’s Church to Sea View Road last Wednesday.

Town centre manager Ingrid Lewis said the day was a success and hoped to make the parade an annual event: “It was a fabulous day, the parade route was lined with people. It was a fantastic festive event.”
