Five warrants were executed on Wednesday, October 1 under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 as part of Operation Awe. A quantity of Class A and C drugs were seized along with other items of drugs paraphernalia.

In total six people were arrested at the various addresses: one male received a caution for possession of a Class C drug; one female received a caution for possession of a Class A drug; one male was charged with two house burglaries and remanded; one male was charged with shoplifting and bailed; and one male and one female have been given police bail pending further enquiries.

PC Dawn Williams said: "The warrant was a result of good information provided by the community and intelligence gathered by the local policing team and I hope this reassures the public that if they provide us with information we will act on it in a positive manner."
