CONWY food producers are being invited to a special event offering leadership and guidance to developing market opportunities.
The seminar is being held on Tuesday, January 10 and is inviting local food producers to Glasdir, the rural development centre in Llanrwst.
Expert food ambassadors will share their experiences with small and medium sized local producers to enhance and promote market opportunities and developments within the county. The event is organised by Conwy Rural Partnership and Cywain, a project run by Menter a Busnes.
Edwards of Conwy owner Ieuan Edwards will share his experiences of attracting new markets. Managing director of Bodnant Welsh Food Sandy Boyd will also be discussing the new development centre based at Furnace Farm, Eglwysbach, which is due to open in the spring of 2012, discussing the development plus opportunities to local producers of supplying, promoting and championing their produce at the centre.
Dafydd Williams, manager of Conwy Council’s catering section, will discuss schools procurement system and how local producers can supply the county schools.
