North Wales Police Llysfaen appeal

POLICE are appealing for information and witnesses after an incident in Llysfaen where a driver is believed to have shouted to a teenager to get into his car.

Sometime between 9pm and 10pm on Thursday, September 29, the teenage girl had just got off a bus and as she was walking up Highlands Road in Llysfaen when a red coloured vehicle passed her. The vehicle, which is described as being a two door Mercedes, returned and stopped and the driver shouted over the passenger side of the vehicle for her to get in the car before driving off down the hill. The vehicle was seen to turn around and returned where he stopped and has again shouted to the teenager to get in the vehicle.

The teenager ran off and alerted a family member to what had happened.

The driver is described as white, between 30 and 40-years-old and had brushed back grey hair. He is also described as having a local accent and was wearing a white smart long sleeve shirt.

Police are investigating the incident and are appealing to anyone who has information regarding the incident or who may have been in the vicinity at the time to come forward and speak to officers on 101. Alternatively, individuals can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
